This program is a multi-level independent study course for students with an interest in gaining woodworking experience in a professional environment.
Students will choose their own projects and will be provided professional assistance in design and construction. New students must complete the Shop Equipment & Joinery Workshop offered by JK Chicago.
All students are responsible for providing materials of their choice. All students and projects are subject to approval. Shop time is $15.00 per hour, to be paid in advance in blocks of 20 hours. To reserve time you must complete the registration form below and then purchase at least 1 block (20 hours) of shop time:

The JK Chicago workshop at 1800 W. Cuyler is available for independent shop use on the following dates and times:
- Saturdays from 12 pm to 6 pm
- Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm
- Thursdays from 5 pm to 9 pm, excluding holiday weekends.
