Shop Equipment and Joinery Workshop (prerequisite)

workshop imageSession 1 Students learn shop safety and proper equipment usage including: table saw, panel saw, mitre saw, jointer, planer, wide belt sander, bandsaw, router, mortiser, and shaper.

Session 2 Students receive hands-on instruction in basic woodworking joinery including tongue and groove, mortise and tenon, rabbet joint, and dovetails.

This class is a prerequisite for all new students. The six-hour course is divided into two three-hour sessions; tuition is $175.00 and materials are included.
